MindType is a game theory-based decision-making app that helps you understand your thinking patterns through short micro-games. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Key principle: MindType uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication — you do not need to provide any personal information (no email, no name, no password) to use the app. Your identity is represented by a random anonymous identifier.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data Stored in Cloud Firestore (Firebase)

Important: None of this data is linked to your real identity. Your anonymous ID is a random string generated by Firebase — it cannot be traced back to you unless you voluntarily link an Apple or Google account.
2.2 Data We Do NOT Collect

- No contacts or address book access
- No camera or microphone access
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- No biometric data
- No financial or payment data
- No browsing history or cross-app tracking
3. Third-Party Services
- Firebase Authentication — Anonymous auth. No personal info required.
- Cloud Firestore — Encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
- Google Gemini AI — Only aggregated, anonymized stats are sent. No personal identifiers.
- Firebase Analytics — Anonymous usage events only.
- Firebase Crashlytics — Device model, OS version, stack traces. No personal data.
- RevenueCat — Anonymous subscription management.
- Apple App Store — Payment processing. We never receive your payment details.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use game results to calculate your decision archetype and detect cognitive bias patterns. Aggregated data is sent to Gemini AI for personalized insights and reports. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Deleting your data: Go to MindType Settings → "Delete All Data" to permanently remove all your data from our servers.
6. Children's Privacy
MindType is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
- Access: View your data through the app (Stats, Profile screens).
- Export: Settings → "Export Data" to download a JSON copy.
- Delete: Settings → "Delete All Data" to permanently remove everything.
- Notification Control: Enable/disable at any time in iOS Settings.
8. Data Security
- TLS 1.3 encryption in transit
- AES-256 encryption at rest
- iOS file system encryption for local data
- Firestore security rules enforce user-level isolation
- RevenueCat webhook signature verification
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
