Welcome to Fenno ("the App"), developed and operated by Umay.dev ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Fenno, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.
Fenno is a privacy-first, on-device self-intelligence platform for iOS. The App records and analyzes your real-life conversations — meetings, calls, personal reflections, and social interactions — to surface patterns in how you communicate, relate, and think. All audio processing, transcription, speaker identification, and insight generation happen entirely on your device. No audio data is transmitted to external servers.
Fenno, the App's interactive fennec fox mascot, serves as a visual companion that provides animated feedback during recording and analysis sessions.
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Fenno. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Fenno does not require you to create a user account. The App operates locally on your iPhone. To use the App, you need an iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later (iPhone 12 or newer recommended) and a valid Apple ID for downloading the App and managing subscriptions through the App Store.
Fenno operates on a freemium model. The free tier and premium subscription layers are outlined below.
Available to all users at no cost, the free tier includes up to 10 minutes of recording per day, basic voice metrics (speaking rate, filler words, energy level), and a 7-day analysis history.
Fenno offers five specialized subscription layers, each targeting a distinct area of self-intelligence. Each layer unlocks advanced analyses, unlimited recording, extended history, and AI-powered personal insights relevant to that domain.

An All Layers Bundle is available at a discounted rate, granting access to all five premium layers. A Lifetime Purchase option is also offered for select layers, providing permanent access via a one-time payment.
All subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and processed via StoreKit 2. We do not collect or handle payment information directly. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms governing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Each premium layer may offer a 7-day free trial for eligible users. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; you retain access to premium features until that date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your iPhone's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
All purchases and subscription payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds independently.
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated in advance through the App Store, and existing subscribers will be notified before the new pricing takes effect on their next billing cycle.
Core Principle: All audio recording, transcription, speaker identification, voice analysis, and AI insight generation are performed entirely on your device. Fenno does not transmit, upload, or store your audio data on any external server.
Fenno uses on-device machine learning models including WhisperKit for transcription, Core ML for speaker identification and voice analysis, Apple's NaturalLanguage framework for text processing, and a local large language model for generating insights. None of these processes require an internet connection for their core functions.
All recordings, transcripts, analysis results, and personal insights are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage (NSFileProtectionComplete). Your data is protected by your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
You may delete all stored data at any time through Settings within the App. Deleting the App also removes all locally stored data. We do not retain backups of your personal data on our systems.
The only network communications Fenno makes are for subscription verification with Apple's App Store servers and for checking app updates. No audio, transcripts, or analysis data is ever included in these communications.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Fenno complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to laws governing audio recording and wiretapping.
Many jurisdictions require the consent of one or more parties before a conversation may be recorded. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents before recording any conversation using Fenno. Recording conversations without proper consent may result in civil or criminal liability. Fenno is not designed or intended to be used for covert surveillance.
Important: Unauthorized or covert recording of conversations may carry serious legal consequences in your jurisdiction. Always obtain appropriate consent before recording others.
You agree not to use Fenno for any purpose that is unlawful, harmful, or otherwise prohibited by these Terms. Prohibited uses include but are not limited to:
Fenno, including its design, code, AI models, animations (including the Fenno character), graphics, user interface, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Umay.dev and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in or to the App.
You retain full ownership of all recordings, transcripts, and personal data generated through your use of the App. Since all data remains on your device, we do not claim any rights to your content. We do not access, view, or use your personal data in any way.
If you voluntarily provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use such feedback for the purpose of improving Fenno, without any obligation to compensate you.
Fenno uses on-device artificial intelligence to generate insights about your communication patterns, relationships, and behavior. These insights are provided for informational and self-reflection purposes only. They do not constitute and should not be interpreted as professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice.
AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, misinterpretations, or biases. You should exercise your own judgment when acting on any insight provided by the App. If you are experiencing mental health difficulties or interpersonal challenges, we encourage you to seek guidance from a qualified professional.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Umay.dev and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of Fenno. This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from loss of data, loss of revenue, emotional distress, reliance on AI-generated insights, or any recording made in violation of applicable laws.
In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you have paid to us (through Apple) for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Fenno is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's accuracy, reliability, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Specifically, we do not guarantee the accuracy of speech-to-text transcription, speaker identification, sentiment analysis, or any AI-generated insight. The performance of on-device AI models may vary based on your device model, available storage, ambient noise, and other environmental factors.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Umay.dev and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law — including but not limited to laws governing audio recording consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Fenno at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Since all data is stored locally on your device, termination of access does not affect data already stored on your device, but you will lose access to premium features.
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by deleting it from your device and cancelling any active subscriptions through the App Store.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via the App Store update notes. Your continued use of Fenno following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Umay.dev regarding your use of Fenno and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether written or oral.
