        Privacy First. MindType is designed with your privacy at its core. Your choices, insights, and decision patterns stay on your device. We do not collect personal information, require user accounts, or serve third-party advertisements.
    

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Umay (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the MindType: Personality Test application (“App”) available on the Apple App Store. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

MindType is a privacy-first application. Your decision data, archetypes, cognitive bias patterns, and daily dilemma responses are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is generated and stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:

Your responses to daily dilemmas and game theory scenarios
Your decision archetype, evolution tier, and progression history
Detected cognitive bias patterns and auto-generated insights (e.g., loss aversion flags, impulsivity metrics)
Your Decision Stability Score and contextual consistency data
Daily streak data and earned badges
App preferences and settings

We have no access to this data. It resides solely on your device and is subject to your device’s own security and backup mechanisms.

2.2 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process:

Your name, email address, or any other personal identifier
Account credentials (there are no user accounts)
Precise or approximate location data
Device identifiers for advertising purposes
Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data
Browsing history or activity from other apps

2.3 Aggregate Anonymous Statistics

The App may display anonymous aggregate statistics (e.g., “71% of players chose to defect today”). These statistics do not identify you individually. Your individual response contributes only in aggregate and cannot be traced back to you.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

If the App offers premium features or subscriptions, all payment transactions are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, receive, or store your payment card information or billing details. Apple’s handling of your payment information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

4. Third Parties

4.1 Apple

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain data in connection with your use of App Store services, including data related to downloads and general App Store usage. This collection is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and is outside our control.

4.2 No Third-Party Advertising

MindType does not display third-party advertisements. We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, ad networks, or advertising identifiers (including Apple’s IDFA).

4.3 No Third-Party Analytics SDKs

We do not embed third-party analytics frameworks such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar services in MindType.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties because we do not collect personal information in the first place. The limited circumstances in which data may be shared are:

Social sharing by you: If you choose to share your archetype evolution or results using the App’s built-in share feature, you control what you share and with whom. Umay has no role in or control over how third-party social platforms use that content.
Apple payment processing: If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes the transaction and receives the relevant payment data (see Section 3).
Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, only to the extent required and where legally permissible we will attempt to notify you.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all your personal data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

Delete the App from your device to remove all locally stored App data permanently.
Use your device’s Settings > General > iPhone Storage to manage App data.

We do not retain copies of your data on our servers because we do not collect it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Because we do not collect personal information, most data rights are exercised directly by you on your device. You have the right to:

Access: All your data is on your device and visible through the App.
Deletion: Delete your data at any time by uninstalling the App.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you may have additional rights. Please contact us and we will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

MindType is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App’s content — game theory scenarios, decision psychology, and cognitive bias analysis — is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older. 9. Security

Since your data remains on your device, security depends largely on your device’s own protections (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, iOS encryption). We encourage you to keep your device software up to date and to use a strong device passcode. Because we do not transmit your personal decision data over the internet, many common privacy and security risks simply do not apply to MindType.

10. iCloud and Device Backups

If you have enabled iCloud Backup on your device, App data stored locally may be included in your iCloud backup. This is controlled entirely by your Apple account settings. We have no access to your iCloud data. Please refer to Apple’s privacy policy and your iCloud settings for more information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
