Cornerman

        The short version: We run no servers and have no accounts, so we never receive your data. Everything Cornerman works out happens on your iPhone. If you allow it, a copy is kept in your own private iCloud, which belongs to your Apple Account and which we cannot read. The only other things that leave your phone go to Apple, not to us: your approximate location for the weather forecast, and once during setup, to name your neighbourhood.
    

1. Introduction

Cornerman is a foresight app for fathers. It reads your calendar, contacts and approximate location on your device to catch family dates, calendar clashes and seasonal home and car jobs before they slip. This policy explains what the app accesses, why, and where it goes.

By using Cornerman, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Data the App Accesses and How It Is Used

Every rule, suggestion and calculation runs locally on your iPhone. Each permission is optional: if you decline one, the features that need it stay quiet and everything else keeps working.

2.1 On-device intelligence

On devices that support Apple Intelligence, Cornerman may use Apple’s on-device language model to phrase your weekly briefing. This runs entirely on your iPhone; nothing is sent to us or to a cloud model.

2.2 No analytics or tracking

The app contains no analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, tracking pixels or crash reporters that send data to us. We do not know how often you open the app or what you do in it.

2.3 No accounts

There is no sign-up and no login. Nothing about you is linked to a profile anywhere outside your own device and Apple Account.

3. What Leaves Your Phone (Apple Only)

iCloud (optional, on by default). If you are signed in to iCloud, Cornerman keeps a copy of its data in your private iCloud database so a new iPhone can pick up where the old one left off. That database belongs to your Apple Account; we have no access to it. Turn it off in Settings → Your data inside the app.
Weather (Apple WeatherKit). Your approximate location is sent to Apple to fetch the forecast. Apple states it does not associate this with your identity. See the Apple Weather Privacy Notice.
Place name (setup only). During setup, the app shows roughly where it thinks home is (a neighbourhood and city, never a street) so you can confirm it. To produce that name, your approximate location is sent once to Apple’s geocoding service (MapKit). The name is not stored.

There are no advertising networks, social SDKs or other third-party integrations.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold and billed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple’s Privacy Policy and Media Services Terms govern those transactions.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Settings → Erase everything deletes all of Cornerman’s data on this phone, cancels its scheduled notifications and, if iCloud sync is on, removes the iCloud copy from your other devices too.
You can review, correct or remove individual facts (birthdays, anniversary and the answers you gave) inside the app at any time.
Deleting the app removes its data from the device. To remove an iCloud copy after deleting the app, use iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
You can revoke calendar, contacts, reminders, location or notification access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

6. Children’s Privacy

Cornerman is for parents and is not directed at children under 13. It stores dates and names of your children only because you enter or confirm them, and only on your device and in your private iCloud. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Questions: umay.dev.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data. Because we hold none of it, you exercise those rights directly in the app, in iOS Settings, and in your iCloud account. Questions: umay.dev.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, mention it in the App Store release notes. Continuing to use Cornerman after a change means you accept the updated policy.
