ShadowART — Mood Journal & Shadow Work Companion
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the ShadowART mobile application (the "App"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using the App and delete it from your device.

ShadowART does not require account creation, login credentials, or registration. Your data is stored locally on your device by default.

The free tier of ShadowART provides access to core features including visual mood entry, basic journaling, shadow constellation radar chart, and the Reflect & Anchor functionality. Free tier features may be modified over time.
ShadowART Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription with the following options:
Prices are subject to change. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle following the change. Prices may vary by region and are determined by the App Store.
The yearly subscription plan includes a 7-day free trial. During the free trial period, you will have full access to all ShadowART Pro features at no charge. If you do not cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the 7-day free trial period, your Apple ID account will be automatically charged the yearly subscription fee ($39.99 USD). You may cancel the free trial at any time through your Apple ID account settings in the App Store. Each Apple ID is eligible for one free trial only.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your paid period.
No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their standard refund process.
You can restore previously purchased subscriptions on any device signed into the same Apple ID by using the "Restore Purchases" function within the App.
You agree to use ShadowART solely for personal, non-commercial purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You agree not to:
Violation of these terms may result in termination of your access to the App.
The App and all of its contents, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the software, code, algorithms, visual designs, user interface elements, graphic assets, icons, audio soundscapes, text-to-speech configurations, animations, archetype definitions, affirmation libraries, and all other creative and technical elements — are and shall remain the exclusive property of Buğra Günay and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
The ShadowART name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Buğra Günay. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App, including journal entries, reflections, micro-notes, and any other user-generated text ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership interest in Your Content.
By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process Your Content solely on your device for the purpose of providing the App's core functionality (sentiment analysis, archetype detection, keyword extraction, and personalized insights). This processing occurs entirely on-device and does not involve any transmission or storage of Your Content on our systems.
If you voluntarily provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the App, you grant us an unrestricted, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose, including product improvement, without obligation or compensation to you.
ShadowART uses on-device artificial intelligence and natural language processing to analyze your journal entries and generate insights, including shadow archetype detection, sentiment scores, keyword extraction, and personalized affirmations. You acknowledge and agree that:
ShadowART is not a medical device, therapeutic tool, mental health service, or diagnostic instrument. The App is designed as a personal journaling and self-reflection companion only.
The App does not provide:
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or any medical emergency, please immediately contact your local emergency services (911 in the US), a crisis hotline, or a qualified healthcare professional.
You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act upon any insights, affirmations, or analysis provided by the App. You acknowledge that self-reflection and psychological exploration can surface difficult emotions, and you agree to seek professional support if needed.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your download and use of the App is also subject to Apple's Terms of Service and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
All subscription purchases, billing, and payment processing are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We are not a party to your payment transaction with Apple.
If you enable iCloud sync (Pro feature), your data synchronization is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms of Service.
If you opt in to analytics, anonymous usage data is processed by Google Firebase under Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, software updates, operating system changes, accidental deletion, or any other cause.
